Charlie Bluett is an English-born colorfield abstract painter based in Vermont. After studying Fine Art at Eton College, he had his first publicly exhibited work selected for the Royal Academy of Arts in London, and he has worked as a professional artist since the early 1990s. Bluett’s canvases pay homage to the Abstract Masters while drawing on abstract expressionism and contemporary colorfield painting. His shifting surfaces and vibrant, ethereal color reflect the light and natural landscapes he experiences in everyday life.
